DOA Policy — Premium Reefing Wholesale

Despite the greatest care in packaging and shipping, in rare cases a coral may not survive transit. In such cases, the following voluntary DOA policy applies.

This policy is a voluntary additional service. Your statutory warranty rights under German law remain unaffected and are neither restricted nor excluded by these conditions.

Process

01
Check your delivery immediately on arrival
Dead or damaged corals must be documented within 24 hours of receipt. Claims submitted after this window cannot be accepted.
02
Photograph in the unopened transport bag or container
The animals must be photographed inside the unopened transport bags or containers. Additionally, a close-up of the affected coral is required — outside the tank, against a neutral white background, in natural daylight. If multiple animals are affected, provide an overview photograph of all affected corals.
03
Report within 24 hours
Claims must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery by telephone, WhatsApp, or email. Claims submitted after this deadline cannot be processed.
04
Damaged packaging
If the transport box or packaging is visibly damaged on delivery, please have this confirmed in writing by the courier at the time of receipt.

Without photographs submitted within the stated timeframe, it is unfortunately not possible to process a claim.

Collection Orders

For orders collected in person, no right to claim under this DOA policy applies.

Resolution

Where a claim is accepted, you will receive either:

  • The purchase price of the affected coral as a shop credit voucher, or
  • A replacement animal added to your next order, where possible.

Ancillary costs such as shipping are excluded. A cash refund of the purchase price is not provided under this policy.

Statutory Rights

Warranty rights

This DOA policy is a voluntary additional service. Your statutory warranty rights under §§ 433 ff. BGB remain unaffected. Under § 90a BGB, animals are not classified as goods but are treated as goods for the purposes of statutory warranty claims. These rights are neither restricted nor excluded by our conditions.

Right of withdrawal

Under § 312g para. 2 no. 3 BGB, no right of withdrawal exists for live animals. Orders of corals and other live animals cannot be returned under distance selling regulations. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
