FAQ — Premium Reefing Wholesale

Getting Started

This platform is for registered aquatics retailers and trade businesses only. If you operate a fish shop, aquatics store, or marine livestock business and want to stock Premium Reefing corals, you are eligible to apply.

Private individuals and hobbyists cannot place wholesale orders through this platform.

Click “Apply for Trade Access” on the homepage or visit the Trade Application page. Complete the form with your business details including company name, address, VAT number if applicable, and contact information.

Applications are reviewed manually and you will receive a confirmation email once approved. This typically takes 1–2 business days.

Most applications are reviewed within 1–2 business days. You will receive an email to confirm when your account has been approved and you can log in to browse the catalogue.

Your approval email will contain a link to the catalogue. You can also log in directly at My Account using the email address and password you set when applying.

Yes. Invoice accounts are available for approved trade customers. When your account is set up as an invoice account, you will see a “Place Order — Pay by Invoice” button at checkout instead of card payment fields. We will invoice you directly after each order.

If you would like to discuss invoice terms, please contact us at the time of application or after your account is approved.

Placing Orders

WYSIWYG stands for “What You See Is What You Get.” Every WYSIWYG product in the catalogue is an individual coral that has been photographed specifically for that listing. The coral in the product photo is the exact coral you will receive — not a representative example.

WYSIWYG products have a quantity of 1. Once sold, they are removed from the catalogue.

Each product is listed as either a Colony or a Frag (fragment). This affects shipping box calculation:

  • Colony — 16 colonies fit per shipping box
  • Frag — 40 frags fit per shipping box

Mixed orders are calculated proportionally. The box count and shipping cost are displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.

When you add a WYSIWYG coral to your basket, it is reserved for you for 15 minutes. A countdown timer on the basket page shows how long your reservation is active. If you do not complete checkout within 15 minutes, the reservation is released and the coral becomes available to other customers.

For invoice customers, stock is reserved immediately when the order is placed — no timer applies after checkout.

Stock is updated in batches. When a new batch goes live, all previously listed stock is replaced with the new catalogue. We recommend logging in regularly or subscribing to our WhatsApp broadcast list to be notified when new stock drops.

You can opt in to the WhatsApp list on your trade application form, or contact us directly to be added.

Yes. You can order any combination of coral categories in a single order. Shipping is calculated on the total number of boxes required for your complete order, not per category.

Delivery & Collection

We ship to all 27 EU member states. Shipping costs vary by country and are calculated per box at checkout. You can see the exact cost before confirming your order.

Shipping is calculated by box, based on your destination country and the contents of your order:

  • Colonies: 16 per box
  • Frags: 40 per box
  • Mixed orders are calculated proportionally

The number of boxes required and the total shipping cost are displayed at checkout before you place your order.

Live coral shipments take place Monday to Thursday only, with next-day delivery by 12:00 noon. We do not dispatch live animals on Fridays (except for Saturday delivery by special arrangement) or over weekends.

Please always provide a telephone number where our courier can reach you on the day of delivery.

CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) documentation is required for the international shipment of certain coral species, specifically LPS and SPS corals. A flat fee per coral is applied to orders containing LPS or SPS corals to cover this documentation.

The CITES fee is shown as a separate line item at checkout and applies to all orders including collections.

Yes. Collection is available by prior arrangement. Please contact us before placing your order to arrange a collection time. When you select collection at checkout, all shipping costs are removed. CITES fees still apply.

Please note that the DOA policy does not apply to collection orders.

Issues with Your Order

We have a voluntary Dead on Arrival (DOA) policy. If a coral does not survive transit, you must:

  • Report it within 24 hours of delivery by telephone, WhatsApp, or email
  • Photograph the animal in the unopened transport bag, plus a close-up against a neutral white background

Claims submitted without photographs or after the 24-hour window cannot be processed. Full details are in our DOA Policy.

Under § 312g para. 2 no. 3 BGB, no right of withdrawal exists for live animals. Orders of corals and other live organisms cannot be returned under distance selling regulations. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

See our Cancellation Policy for full details.

If the transport box or packaging is visibly damaged when the courier delivers your order, ask the courier to confirm the damage in writing at the time of delivery. Then contact us immediately with photographs.
